 reports, 1d 20h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. Although `DEVlANT joined our community only a year ago, he's made sure to make his mark in as many ways as possible. Sharpen up your teeth your dreams are more than worth defending.
The balance of the overall piece is gorgeous, even amounts of light and dark applied generously, and I particularly enjoy the ray of light from the left, his right. Kind of a symbolisitc matter, god's path the one of the right and the devil's the left.
Great use of emphasis on the eyes and the innocent butterfly. Sort of like the subject is in himself, also as innocent as the creature that happen to land upon his death, the noose of the rope he's considering freedom.
You really do come up with the greatest of concepts rube. Although, I still love your "rape" one the most. The death and hurt in those eyes was.. just.. was. I don't know if I can find a better word.
